So I'm waiting on some extra hardware (upgrade time!) before I continue on the Elise, so I figured I'd try my hand at another of my favourites. There's still some problems in the mesh around the headlights, but I'm happy with the start thus far.

Excellent choice of car, I think it's the first DBR9 model ever.

It's a very impressive start, I've seen no bump so far. I'm looking forward to see more progress on this beauty, so keep us updated !

Looking like a very very ood start!! IMO the clay render is a bit dark.

tom120934> Yeah, the only other one I've seen on the net is a lowpoly model ripped out of the GTR game. And when I saw some guys renderings of it, I was suprised to see some bad mesh errors in it, but it was still pretty sweet for a lowpoly mesh.

Anyways, time for me to get to work, but here's as far as I got last night before hittin the bed.

I'm having a problem with modeling the door handles. I just cant seem to get the mesh looking halfway decent, so I'm thinking about just bump mapping it. Any chance I could get away with it? Here's an example.

you need to fix that front wheel arch , and the car looks out of proportion , but maybe its because theres no mats on right now, it just seems too tall

janusz_the_maker > Thanks for pointing out the shape of the door, that was a part I roughed in and completely overlooked since then. The other parts were just uncomplete when I rendered that out.
