Audi R8 custom

Hi all, been a long time

The idea behind this, is that I'm making a subtle body kit for the R8.
So nothing over the top, besides things that would be functional in real life.

I'm not going to put parts on it that came from a jumbo jet, I want it to be nice and clean

Since it is a custom kit, it's not meant to be 100% accurate, I just want a recognizable version

As always, C&C are welcome!

Hey,
Nice idea, I see you have nice mess with wire under headlights. Model looks good.
Take a look on ABT's R8 Audi wallpapers and high resolution pictures

@ janusz

Thanks but I think the ABT is already a bit too much, it's not really subtle anymore

@ benji

Thanks very much!!
I can really use these

@ nellowrox: Thanks!

Well I'm giving this project a little twist in it.

A friend of mine has the ability to be around an Audi S6 when ever he wants, so I asked him if he could take pictures of the 5.2 V10..
Meaning...I'm basically building my own vision of an Audi RS8 with the engine capabilities of the RS6 avant (580bhp)

Don't worry, I'm still not going to give it jumbo jet body parts, but I am going to give it some extra cooling parts (like a subtle roof scoop following the body line)

I'm also experimenting a bit with the rims, but I really am in doubt of which I want to use.
And I'm also having trouble modeling the lights

little update

made the roof scoop for the V10

don't mind the back window and rear diffuser, they're just there to fill the empty places

If I were you, I would sort out the bumps and pinches on your model before continuing or it will get more difficult in the future.

surfaces seem a bit lumpy and some of the edges aren't sharp enough. i would suggest going over it and making sure your edges actually flow. at the moment the dips in the mesh should be pretty obvious.

I'm sorry to say this...but I have to put this one on hold for a short period

I'm having some major problems with my computer, my Windows killed itself twice in 1 week :S

Luckily I saved the project on another hard drive so I haven't lost it

More news to follow..

Just throw Windows away. Move to another OS, this is not like if there is only one available on the shelf

I've tried installing MAC OSX Leopard on my computer, all hardware is capable of dealing with it but it still didnt work..

I've found the problem, and it is pre-Windows
My master boot record is messed up (master boot record is basically the ignition key for your hard drive) so I will have to return the hard drive..so far for my Raptor hard drive

Just to let you all know, this project is NOT dead!

I'm currently pretty tied up with school work and I can't figure out how to get rid of the chamfer errors in the mesh..
