Sharp and clean, no critics from me so far.

I'm looking forward to see more progress from you on this one.

i did a quick test render for myself to see how the windscreen looked (its a complete mess right now) and also to see what the side mirrors are like - which have turned out to be too small (i think, not totally sure) but thought i may aswell share the render:

That depends mostly on what version and engine you want to replicate, have you decided on that yet? You can do standard (small engines), SS (medium engines) or Z28 (bring it on!). I think the flat one only came with the smaller engines. By the way even the flat hood isn't exactly flat as it has a lowered area on every half of the hood.

working on the wheels. The 5 holes kinda suck but hopefully i can sort them out. My rim modelling skills are lacking when it comes to the spokes etc:

just a quick render to see what the wheel looked like with the car:

does the scaling look correct on the wheel/mirror/wiper? the wheel looks a bit big to me, but it has the correct gaps in the wheel well.

got a bit bored with modelling today so i thought i'd start work on my scene/materials - something i usually leave untill the end. The scene itself really needs a bit more lighting and the car paint has a bit of a two-toned color i don't like:

render time was 1.5 hours. (it will be a bit dark on CRT monitors)

Looks pretty good man, not a big fan of the DOF. As you said the scene needs to be a bit darker as well.

just from a quick comparison from ur model to a real pic:

1. the spot by the side mirror needs to be a little bit higher on the car i think

2. the actual tire rubber needs to be smaller and the rim needs to be bigger in radius
the rim seems to be a little bit too deep

3. this part needs to be curved in a bit too

4. try to make these corners a tad bit sharper if possible.

also found this hi-res pic which was what i was glancing back and forth with

good luck

thanks guys, the DOF was added because the car doesn't have a back, so i tried to draw attention to the front.

@blindacideye - thanks bro, will get around to fixing those when i can. I also plan on making the seems larger as they are a bit too tight at the min.

i'm taking a break from it for a couple of days, 1. because i don't have a lot of time and 2. it was starting to feel like a chore, and i prefer working on them when i'm enjoying it.

This really looks great, usually I dont care for the glow affects , but you've pulled it off very nicely on this car. This one will be a project to watch for sure.
