Good work so far, with tiny details like I like them.
I'm pretty sure you know about the Camaro from Tom Sullivan, but if not, make sure to check out his work. Maybe he can supply you with refpics if you need some details shot : http://www.smcars.net/forums/work-pr...69-camaro.html. I know his one is a '69 and yours a '68, but I don't know if they're really different.

it looks like a good start. Only you have a symmetry problem, the car doesn't connect in the middel,, but run trough eachother. shouldn't be to hard to fix!!

yeah dude i've seen his camaro, it's stunningly amazing.
If Tom or anyone else sees this and knows of a decent resource for camaro 68 reference photos, links would be much appreciated.
Google Images and Flickr arn't really providing me with many different angles besides the vanilla front corner angle.

ok references.
first up you cant go past lateral - g website, millions of first gen camaro pictures on that
Lateral-g.net :: Member's Rides
you also cant do past ebay
Search results for 1967-1969 Chevrolet Camaro
as for you model the first thing that came to mind is the rasied line downt eh middle of the car isnt flat it come to a point.
and the grills a little off, see the attachment.
other than that its good, you got past the thing i strugled with on mine well.
as for the hidden light, that pictures that CJ posted kinda confussed me, i know with the 69 camar, the RS came out with the hidden light not the SS. but it doesnt really matter because the 68 did come out with both as well.
i had a quick look on Wiki, and it say teh 67 and 69 came with hidden light on teh RS but it didnt say on the 68 so i am assuming it was teh same, ot it was an option for both models.

thanks for the links dude, yeah the line down the middle is pointed it's just overlapping because i didnt join the two halves for the clay render.
the headlight section is a little bit of a mess which i'm going to have to sort out. I created the grill based off of a picture of a camaro with hidden headlights, but i wanted headlights so added those to that design. Its basically a mashup of the two versions of the headlight section, but i think i'm going to adjust it so its the standard front.
i think because of the lack of images i had i couldnt decide which version i was doing, but that should be fine now.
thanks to all.
*edit* this is the image i was using for the front, it actually looks flat, but i can see from other pictures they slope inwards:

ok, i've redone the front, it's not very accurate and a few things need tweaked over all:
*edit* i've realised that the "indicator" lights were too small and slightly the wrong shape, which is now fixed.

Hi guys, when it comes to first gen Camaros, I can consult you pretty well as those are my favorite cars (especially the 69 RS model) .
The RS package was an entirely optical option you could choose in any first gen model year. It included the hidden headlights and other small differences.
But most Camaros came with the regular front style like on yours, Koston.
The '69 Camaros are very different in matter of body style: roof, hood and trunklid are the only parts that stayed identical to the former years.
That means you should only take 67/68 Camaros as reference.
Main optical differences between '67 and '68 is the '68 one had side markers and vertically split rear lights.
Your front looks very good so far, maybe the body is too smooth / round where the front meets the fenders, but that's the only inaccuracy I could point out.
And is that "thing" in the middle of the bumper a welding error? There's no separate piece there on the real Camaro, only a small bump.

thanks dude, do you know what the deal is with the indicators/secondary headlights? on most of the pictures it's the square(ish) indicator lights, but on some of pictures i've seen, they have like a smaller secondary headlight (round in shape not sqaure).
I personally thought they looked better but i didn't do them because i wasn't sure if they were original or just some random mod on that particular car.
here is a picture of what i mean:

These circular ones are originals from 1967. If you stick to the model year 1968, the rectangular ones are correct and your grille is correct too, as it was less pointy in '67.
Btw same applies to the door mirror, which has been changed to a more rectangular look in 1968.

It looks clean at all, but I think there's a bump which I've shown.
Very nice nonetheless.

hey man, yeah it does look funny in that render but it's just down to the perspective and the clay render (there is a slight glow bouncing back from the bumper), the front actually sticks out there a little:
thanks though, if anyone else sees any bugs just shout them out so i can fix them.

Looks very clean and highly detailed.
I like it when a car has even little screws for details.
Awsome,keep it up!

not a very big update, but i'm posting more to ask a question again.
i don't really know a great deal about cars, can anyone explain the huge amount of "hood"/"bonnet" variations with the camaros? i prefer it flat (i removed the part that was risen) but not sure if flat is authentic.
