there is a sharper (not completely sharp but very seeable) line on the side. between where it's flat and where it's round.
Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster (2007) - 1600x1200 wallpaper 09
the line shows only in pictures where the light falls on it. It's just a chamfer.
Second thing, the fron light, the inner corner of that black thingy below the lights is way to soft. It has a sharp edge!
the rest is looking faboulus, keep it going.

If you're talking about the line running just above the bottom of the door to the top of the side air intake, I think I did it correctly. Please check attached screencap.
About the inner lower corner of the front light, you're right, I saw it but forgot to fix it before posting. Thanks for noticing.

Thanks for all your comments.
Nitro-X, that's what I planned to do : finish this model ! I hope you'll appreciate the camera angle in the 2nd render below, I tried to mimic the refpic Patrick_F posted.
Erik_S, I guess you recovered now from your excesses
Here's an update, I focused on rims, so no update on the body so far.

Man.. this will be pretty sick when it's done.. I have blender, do you think it's any easier to work with than 3dsmax?

"When it's done" : you're completely right about that, I need more free time than I currently have, that's the reason why the project is on hold at the moment.
About Blender vs Max, I can't really compare : my only use of Max was about 10 years away (release 2.5) and I forgot anything about it. I'm back to CG since 2005 (roughly) and only used Blender since. The two advantages I see about Blender above Max are : it's Free Software (I mean, Libre) and free (I mean, it didn't cost me a buck)
Another current project I'm working on is a tutorial to build a car from scratch with Blender : high-poly modeling with focus on details and accuracy. Hope it will help. Stay tuned for more.

Too bad it is on hold, i really love this project. Hope you have more free time soon so we can see some updates also can you give us some more information about the tutorial or is it still in the beginnings?
Cheers

I think I will publish it in its early shape. I covered so far the creating process of the "spline cage" I used (which doesn't use spline, but who cares ? ) and I need to finish that cage before writing the modeling part of the tutorial. Because I write the tutorial as I progress on the modeling, to make sure I don't forget to mention anything.
I hope I will get more free time soon.
