I wish I could render something like that in an hour..
I actually like the previous render more, though... But that's personal preference
Looking good, but I think your A pillar needs to be way wider at the bottom.

I think it's rather much for a clay render. My gallardo clays are like 5 minutes.
Oke here are some nitpicking things on your murcielago! Hope you don't mind But it's coming along nicely and some fixing would make it amazing! Keep it up!

Thanks for your feedback and support, guys.
NightEye, I will resize the A-pillar. You're right, it's way too thin at the moment. About render style, I'm not satisfied with both I'm still trying to improve that, and to have "acceptable" render time. 1 hour is pretty decent for a full-sized, final render with proper lighting. But for a test render, I have to speed up this a bit, otherwise I'll be still modeling it in 10 years !
Erik_S, many thanks for your nitpicking. I really appreciate that kind of feedback.
Here're some wires :

Hehe, allright. Can't wait to see the final setup ^_^
Your wires tell a lot What Erik sais about the edge on the rear: same on the front, but less

Hi Tom, you are totally above my league , but I also use Blender and was wondering how you model your grille.

great work as usual Tom. Love it!!!
I like what you've got going with the lighting. Are you using the Yafray Renderer? Looks far better the the blender internal if it is.

BlenderFreak-- Tom use "MODIFIER-->ARrAY" and "MODIFIER-->MESHDEFORM" for your grille
Chris --Yes for Yaf(a)ray
OK Tom I like your mesh ......EXCELLENT.

Thanks for your comments !
NightEye, I'm proud that you like my polyflow. Thanks for your kind words ! The rendering setup is better now IMHO, what do you think about it ?
Johnas, thanks ! I will take care of all the issues I gathered here and there, but first I wanted to achieve a better render with Yaf(a)Ray.
BlenderFreak, thanks. It's not a matter of skills, it's a matter of acquiring skills. Please take a look to my first projects here, it's funny About the grille, I have to write a tutorial : yes I'm using MeshDeform, but not only as I can't achieve sharp deformations with it. So for some folding work, I do it by hand.
chris20, glad you like ! I'm using Yaf(a)Ray, successor of YafRay. I will write a tutorial about my lighting setup as soon as I will be fully satisfied with it XD
MARTS, thanks ! I do my best to keep it as simple as possible, because it's more easy to modify the mesh and of course, because KISS is right !
Here's an update, new rendering setup.
Also, here're some unsmoothed wires.

It looks great but you got some weird folding issue at the corner of your front lights. I think the base mesh is too simple to work for that area. keep it up

Thanks guys for your prompt feedback.
Now that my clay render is a bit more explicit, I need to concentrate myself on modeling. So I will address all the critics / bumps / inaccuracies during my next modeling session.
Thanks again for the support !

Hi! Thanks for the answer, but I don't really understand what you mean. I'm modelling an R8 right now, I don't see how I can use array to model the grilles. Could you please give me a bit more detailed explanation?
I appreciate it.

I started to write the tutorial. It will be online shortly.
Here's an update, there are many fixes on the front end and wheels. Rear rim is under heavy reconstruction. Still many things to fix.

Although I like your polyflow, that's not what I meant
I mean that you can spot accuracy errors by looking at the wire frame. Especially the line Erik_S pointed out, and that same line on the rear flank of the car.
Render setup looks better now Although I liked the yellow glow

That's my new way to get kind comments : I force them Hehe I eventually understood your point, and yes I agree with you.
I will try to get some kind of reminiscence of the yellow glow, because what I want to achieve is a realistic sunlight, like The IC does for example. So maybe the yellow will strike back !

Thanks ! As soon as I will have completed the rear rim, I'll move on to the side edges, so don't worry I won't forget it. Thanks for your comment.

Here's an update, fixed windshield bay and added more rubber. Rear rim is back. There is also a first test render to test lighting with non-clay materials, of course shaders are temp.

Thanks !
Here's an update, I concentrated on the incorrect line on the side. Now I guess it's ok, but some tweaking is required on the bodyline between front fender and door.
