Here is close up of this annoying part. Just worked on other parts and your method helped, thanks a lot.

EDIT: You may wonder why I have not connected these "rounded edge" verts to other, I didn't do that cuz I'm still trying with other combination so I deleted them. It gives me same sh**t when I'm connecting it to anything.

Assuming your model to be Low poly at the end, I am attaching a couple of solutions to that effect. If it's going to be meshsmoothed, I'll attach different solutions.

You look at something so long you get blind to the faults.
Can anyone recommend alternative ways to produce this mesh area. The convergence on that central vertex is causing an ugly bump. Hope the pictures explain properly.

Try the following layout for minimal work. But I would suggest remodeling that part with proper segmentation of the arch according to the details you are going to put around it.

topology advise

Hi Guys,

Here are the renders and topology of the chevrolet stingray concept from transformers that I am trying to model. However, I think the flow and topology doesn't seem to be correct or could be better done. Any advise or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Thanks again.

Hi and welcome to SMCars.

Since this is a concept, I assume there are no blueprints. You'd want to specify your shape in the orthographic views with splines and curves. Once you have that setup ready, adjust the vertices of your model according to the curves for a quick fix. Define the shape first, and then start creating edge loops and creases.

Also, use the 'Chamfer' option for edges with discretion. While it is useful in certain situations, you might want to stay away from using it too much. Try and use edge loops where necessary instead. This method involves selecting a ring of edges and then using the 'connect' option, wherein you also have the option of sliding it near or away from the shape defining edge as you prefer.

Try and space out your edge loops around the body as evenly as possible to avoid the obvious 'hills and valleys' contour on the body surface.

I am attaching a simple mesh of an old Volkswagen Beetle WIP image for a client from some time back as a mesh-flow reference for you. I hope you find it useful for adapting it to your model.

Cheers,
Sonnu.
