289 Cobra

Hello all. I've been lurking around here for a few weeks and finally got around to putting one of the fabulous prints I found here to some use.

It's a 289 Cobra, and the plan is to eventually put it into a mod me and a few others are working on for F1 Challenge. Not counting wheels, poly count is just over 6k. Program used was Zmodeler 1.07b.

Comments and criticisms welcome.

Hard to judge with this pic.. Could you show some wires and flats?

Well, the model looks smooth sofar, and (okay, I don't know the 289..) accurate too I think
Just needs some normals

Normals look fine, but from what I can tell the front fender could use a tad bit of smoothing. Otherwise, poly-layout looks spot-on and you've done a really good job of curving with that tiny poly-count.

BTW, welcome to the forums.

Scott:Okay, Houston. As I stand out here in the wonders of the unknown at Hadley, I sort of realize there's a fundamental truth to our nature. Man must explore.

The only rough-looking part is below the front grill opening.

289 Cobra

Bit of an update....about done with the mapping on it. Only parts that still need mapping are the steering wheel, wheels, and the dash.

I also forgot to make the rear view mirror, so that needs to be done as well.

I should add that this is only the second time I've made a skin for the interior of a car, and while I admit it looks like crap ( ) it is leaps and bounds of the last one I did.

Hopefully I can show off some in game pics of this puppy soon.

You still need to work on the normals...
But the texturing job looks very nice
