Street-racing RX-8 for animation (Team project)

I raised it about 10 cm. I can see the model from various angles, and be sure that it's not so big.
I will post a side image, so you can see that it's a perpective issue
No matter, a crit is always a good crit.

I really like what you got going so far. I hope the rest of the car follows the same trend. Tuff to tell without a good side shot, and the wheels in place to tell how low you've got it.. Hoping to see more of the project soon, good job...

>SDK thanks mate, I appreciate your words.

Guys, revolution time. I'm never satisfied with my design. That's a new try. Changed totally the bumper and the width of the car. Opinions are more than welcome.

Then the crazy-time. Probably the name of the car in the race will be SNAKE (the MAZDA's design reminds me a lot), so tried a "particular" car paint to test the effect. Opinions are more than welcome here too

Not to bad at all. Your little side wings (for the lack of a better word) could use to come in a bit I think, but thats just my taste. Once you drop the body down on those wheels, you might have a winner.. Or at the very least, you'll have some room to play with..

dorry, but i dont agree with magnumx.. well, the car does need to be lowered, although not by the means of extending the bumper down..
it will loose the elegance.

well thats just my 2 cents

Jeez magnum calm down.Once the car itself is lowered it will be low enough.Right now its sitting on the stock rx-8 height.

personally i like the 1st bump tons better, but this one is just a bit too high for a tuned car. Well, ur car ur choise but the 1st one was way better

I appreciate your two cents, but these street-racers aren't always "elegant" (remember the FnF films ).
For a stock car I fully agree with you, but in our project the car must be - in Italy we say - IGNORANT . So I would expect that people turns the head to follow my "beast" not for its elegance !!

Guys, IMO the problem is that I posted an image with stock tires that are way smaller than the final ones. I made some test lowering the whole car but I'm not happy. The tire doesn't fit well the wheel arch, so I'm planning a new version (mantaining the new design) a little bit lower and with the final tires. Updates soon.

Cheers Dario

I think the second bumper design looks a lot better than the first. Altho it could be a little lower than the stock bumper imho.
Im dont really like that paintjob, i think a Camo paintjob would look better on this car.

Have you decided which rims you are gonna make? Cause i think either 5 or 6 spoke rims would look best on the car. Maybe Work has got some nice rims to your likings. Also add a bit of camber to the wheels once they are done

I will go for ENKEI CDR9 (def) on TOYO TS-R1 (?). Thanks for the suggestions. The camber one is technical indeed !! I will add some angle for sure.
The wheels

As promised... hope the last revision, mah !!
The tires are the final size.

Working on the body now.

Made a sideskirt (not happy with it at all) and some other parts.
Need opinions about the design and if it fits the car style or not.

it fits the car quite well, but i think u should make it come out of the car, becouse now it looks like simply atached thing.... maybe a small hole and grillie on the end of the side skirt
