Willy Jeep a WIP - New updates.

Hi,

It is Jeep Willy's CJ-3b model. Well I have sorta grown up with this cj-3b model. I have always lived in and around Army and I have always seen this jeep closely. Just few years back those jeeps were the common hilly taxi's in the Garhwal Himalaya, well actualy there were more Mahindra's than CJ-3b willy left. In India Mahindra & Mahindra motors had the liscense for cj3b model and they used to sell the exactly same model under their brand name 'Mahindra' without any changes to the original jeep of 63.

So for the sake of my love for the jeep, I am going for more detailed model than I have ever done.

Thanks to smcars.net I got the blueprints which I was looking for.

Now thats not fair, Blender is as nice application as others are may be bit different in approach but definately not that hard. Tell me you might drive cars if some body puts you in F1 without any training can you drive it. I think I will RAM it on ever one unless I get to learn the controls . Here is where blender scores, cause it is designed for effeciency and speed.
Any way thing is if you want to learn.. nothing will block your way , then we can choose to disagree

Great ! Did just that and was happy to see so many cars. You had been sweatting a lot with blender. I never gave any try to lowpoly modeling but I guess its more of an art form than stuffing high polys Just like NighEye's Lotus.

Ok a little update too, done the fabric covers, the cage, lamps and it-bits. Still lots of work left. But this time I have to take a long break, till next month I gotta papers..
Ok may be I put up yafray of this work but just may beeee.

Sorry guys I am not putting up renders straight away as my Pee-Chee is Slow to render with Blender's internal Raytracer (only 265mb SDRAM ). But Yafray ROCKS! and it is far far better also so I will use it instead..

Enjoy,
Gaurav

I think the headlight glass needs some bumpmap or something
And the carpaint should be a bit reflection
But the rest is superb!!! 8o

NE! lol if he is doing the kind of jeep i think , those kind of jeep dont really have reflection in their car paint, they dont apply a nice paint like on normals cars on thsoe kind of jeep. i say this because you asked teh same thing about a guy who was doing a hummer

except that i agree about the bumpmap.

varuag:dont forget to play with the smooting groups at the rounded part of the bonnet because actualy its not smooth

I am aware of that
But even such cars reflect... We've got a similar car in our street (okay, might not be military or so whatever.. but still), and it does reflect.. Just not much, not much at all.
