First Model - 550 Spyder

Hey there,

Hoping to get some feedback. After looking at a whole bunch of tutorials I've started this first project. Decided to polymodel it rather than spline as I found the polymodelling easier to understand. Could use some advice as I build it as I imagine I'll bump into many problems.

Thanks in advance

I think it looks good judging from that
But maybe a wireframe will give us more to crit

Thanks - first question. How do I get a wireframe render? I'm posting a scanline version but I don't think brazil includes a wireframe.

I was more thinking of a non meshsmoothened wire
The base (or control) mesh so to speak

wow... HMm.. that;s pretty polyheavy
And well, a bit messy in some places (no straight lines), especially on the frontfender and the trunk..
But well, good luck

Well... I don't know how I could lessen the polycount, but I'll certainly try and clean up the lines a bit. Other than being a hog on system resources, does a high polycount cause problems with a car paint material?

Nope. Just causes low FPS when modeling, and takes longer to render. But no other downsides as far as I know
