Re: Toy car movie project

small update... got almost the whole front end of the vehicle done. Work left here includes

windshield wipers.. nothing too fancy, but nothing too bland either. I want this to have everything visible on the real thing visible on the model too... so yeah

tweaking out headlight glass where the turn signal is (upper left of headlight closest to 'camera' in middle view... the long triangle pointing down from that abutment is causing some funkiness with the shading/reflection, so I gotta tweak more smoothness into it.

gotta model the inside of the headlights out...

the mudflap on the wheel well isn't completed yet, once that's done, then I'll probably have the whole wheel well done too...

the little squirting things for the winsheild cleaner to spray from...

mirrors need modeling. got the base there that they sit on and fold to either side on, but the thing itself doesn't exist yet.

There also might be some minor optimizations to take place on the front of the vehicle... but I can't really see that many, maybe three or four minor ones, like on the inside of the grille I can stand to eliminate some faces there. That might be something that waits until I've completed modeling the thing, and can go in and weld the thing together though...

yep.

these new prints I uploaded are in fact a lot more accurate, makes modeling the thing so much nicer... and I'm actually pleased with the way the headlights look this time, as opposed to the last model's headlight shapes
