Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale...Updated 22 September

bump maps will only make it have more depth to a certain point. i'm not sure it would look that great to have a bumpmapped engine texture, cuz there are certain parts of the engine that are much higher up than others.
i think for a low-poly (ish) game model, modeling the major pieces of the engine that can be seen all the time is a good idea. at least rough shapes, like for the cyliner heads and air intakes on this car. would really add a lot to the model, IMO.

Thanks for the crits, I agree with F50 that bump maps wouldnt really give enough depth to the engine bay so I have made a very rough model of the heads etc to add a bit of 3D to the engine. Let me know what you think as the poly count is getting a bit out of hand (5000 for the body at the moment) hock:

WAAAY better I simply love your car.
Check the map in the rearlights holes (depth is a bit messy) and remeber that the black part in the back is a grill... you may try to give this effect.

Cheers Dario

Cheers Dario, I have added a mesh texture to the rear, I have not sorted the lights out yet as I havent found a better texture for them.

EDIT:- Also realised I had'nt posted any wires yet, so here they are. as I say its to complex at the moment.

New rims and tyres, no disc's yet and they are extremely expensive poly wise  (I wont say the poly count) but I can use these as a base for a lower density version.

Hi Flash, this is a max material:-

1) chose a blend material from the top right box

2) click on the first entry box

3) select a multilayer material from the options

4) set colour options

5) set the mask texture (see example)

6) also I set my reflectivity in the multilayer materials "reflection" entry (see example)

EDIT:- oops two step fives ops:
hope this makes sense :?
