Skyline Widebody style also the widebody Fairlady Z
i dont know if this is your style but the whole car is smooth, you dont have even 1 part thats accurate sorry man
all you gotta do is chamfer, but right now you just have a smooth car, it has a skyline look but it looks so fake, try chamfering every sharp part. Your spoiler is also to smooth. |

looks good but try to make SOME edges sharp.
to do that select the edges you want sharp and then click the box next to "Extrude" now after that make the "Extrusion Height" 0.00 and "Extrusion Base Width" 0.9 to 0.1 (the smaller the number the sharper the edge) And then hit the mesh smooth thingy and there you go. Sharp egdes means good car. You can use the chamfer tool but i think it screw you up a bit. |

Blueprint 2 Baby, you live and you learn...
Is that a challenge? let's see how accurate a car you can make without blueprints. I'll start on one if you wish to challenge me. Modelling is only a state of patience and detail. Getting a good render and designing is the hard part. Trust me these models, are just wat I do for my spare time in college, If I actually wanted to put effort into a predetermined car, it'll be like replicating a picture. But please remember, that I never intended on making a Skyline, just something that resembles a Skyline as stated in the orginal post.

The 300zx looks alot nicer than the skyline IMHO, the exhaust pipes need to be scaled down or remodeled. They make it look like a spaceship. The brighter colors also bring out more details in the Z so it looks far better.
A little less motion on the backwheel would also look nicer, right now with it spinning like that it looks like a caddilac wheel, the ones that have bicycle spokes. Smoke around tires would be alot thicker in a burnout. Keep up the work in your spare time, but make sure to put your full effort into your models. Maybe take longer to do them, and make less progress, you might end up with better results just my 2 cents, but what do i know..*EDIT* after a second look, the back wheel arch isnt a perfect curve, and also where the widebody comes into the front looks too smooth. At least ?bandsaw¿(chamfer in max) a defined edge around the wheel arch to give the car a sharper look. ![]() Volkswagen. |
