BMW 325i [new shots - 08/10/04]

Hi,
Im a first time modeler. Here is an attempt of the BMW 325i. The car still needs some detaching and extrusion.

not bad but your wheel arch looks bad maybe thats just the view but it looks all messed up bro. But other then that nice model, smooth

Here is yet another update with almost the whole front done. The detachment was done. Can you recommend anywhere else to put detachments? The area where the licence plate goes will look funny because i did not actually join the polys. it is just a reflection.

not bad man, but yeah the licence plate part is weird looking and the last render is very weird, its like the whole car is chromy, nice try tho lol.

As i said the licence plate area is wierd for now. The chrome was just fun. I am not one of the lucky people to have 3ds Max

There's only one sharp edge on the hood

And try using some less polies.. :roll: (especially between the headlights..)

thats one thing im still trying to figure out. i doubt any program other than 3ds max will do the 1 edge highlight.

cant you make the sharp line on your own? just add a bit more polies on the top part and then make less on bottom, hope you understand what i mean.

It's a lot simpler really.. Just unite the verts along the red line

Detach the faces of that edge, and calculate the normals on both parts, that'll solve it
btw, you still haven't fixed that line on the hood
