its all polymodelling in 3dsmax6, rendered with mental ray.
1.2 million polygons at rendering. I have spent about 40-50 hours on it.

I don't think this car has ceramic brakes yet..

Yeah that would be something that I'd like to do but my previous attempts of making a racetrack environment has pretty much ... sucked but I shouldnt give up

dieselstation has lotsa pics you can use for compositing, and so does f1-live - but f1-live has low res pics :roll:
