Audi TT - Big Problem! Help

Heya,

I'm making my first car model, it's an Audi TT.. i've decided to use poly modeling as i couldn't get it to look right with Nurbs.

However i've hit a problem.. i've got as far as this with the model...



But when i add a chamfer along the red lines in the next photo and then mesh smooth the model (Itterations = 2) i get the following problem....




Here is a close up of the effected area...




Any ideas?

The vertices seem they are not welded properly.

Before you chamfer the edges, do make sure all of the vertices are correctly welded.

tried welding them.. just made it look totally wrong =\

weld all the reds togther and weld all the blues togther and tell me how it works out..

first weld all of them, then apply a chamfer to it

Heya peeps!

Big update in the progress of the car, i'm at this stage... i've left the car smooth so i can add the defining lines, creases and sections later.

What do you think?
