Project Dragonfly (a concept roadster)

Project Dragonfly is a sequel to project rattlesnake (aka MCC thingy) found here. The pics won't work though 'cos I had to move them. So without further ado, the new car (actually just the bonnet and the front bumper).

The headlights will be completely redone and the wheel arches require a lot of work. These are the main problems at this point, but for a couple of hours of work, I'm pretty happy with it at this point.

another pic from a different angle

Any comments and criticism is greatly appreciated as always.

A little game here, can anyone guess what car has the most heavy influence on this concept roadster?

Looks kinda like a BMW Z4, I'm gonna go with that. Good job, by the way. The meshsmoothing is a little too curvy though.

And the winner is... SSJ3_Vegeta.
The largest influence is BMW Z4 though the bonnet is already half a wheelarch longer than that of a Z4 (I'm building this on top of Z4 prints 'cos I don't have a scanner and thus cannot digitize my drawing of the car.)

What excatly do you mean by "The meshsmoothing is a little too curvy though.", too much sharp corners or what?

Ahh.. back to Max now

An update

Completely remade the headlights, moved a few vertices around on the bonnet and made the side (complete with at least 2 problems I didn't even see until I rendered. I also started working on the windshield and the rear but since there ain't anything even remotely complete in the back, I won't be showing it to you

Thanks for the interest, it's always nice to read what other people think of my models.

Well...like, on the old headlights, the edges around the outside are way too smooth. But the new ones look just fine, so that's not that big of a deal anymore

Made the rear, also cut the seams for the bonnet, front bumper, rear bumper, trunk and the roof cover or what ever it's called.

It's pretty obvious it has Z4 as its base when you look at the rear isn't it? Oh, well Z4's rear lights fit on the body far better than those I originally planned anyways.

Damn school is killing me so I haven't had much time to model.

Finally got some work done today and I'm afraid it looks more like a car every day .

And to add a little interactivity, where could I put the front signals (I really can't think of anything)
also if anyone has any ideas about what to do to the sideskirts to make them look less boring I'd appreciate if you'd share (just point me into the direction of the car that has a sideskirt that could fit the rest of this car)

I think it looks too much like a z4, change the trunk and the lights and you have reomved some of the things that makes it look like a z4.
