very nice job, i will definately be putting this model in SA

though i don't quite get why you chamfer the edges on the gills of the air intakes, it doesn't make that much a difference if you leave the normals do the work, now does it?

Beautiful work on this Countach, I dont know if Ive said it, I know I said it to soemone, but the LP400 or LP500 is more sexier but doesnt mean I cant apprecieate this work. The detail is very nice. I hope you used picturs as well to make sure you got everything accurate. Prints alone are decieving.
Anyhow great job. On a side note I plan on modeling an LP400 but not for a while .

looks really primo man. i don't really know the car at all but she looks pretty sweet anyway. i'm gonna try and do a low poly car for games next after i finish my dodge... so that be a little while away. its good to be able to see your mesh to get some pointers.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

I worked on the sideview mirrors, engine, and added another texture. Polycount is now 60,886.

@ FlashG - Yeah, that style of headlights do look funny.

@ Silent][Moebius - They are that way because I think it looks nicer that way. However, if the poly count is getting too high and I need to get rid of some polys, then I may try to get rid of the extras there.

@ Icekid84 - I was tempted to do the LP500 when I was started this, but decided to go with the 25th anniversary because I like it a little more. Maybe I'm mod this model into the LP500 someday after I finish this one. And yes, I'm using ref pics (I have over 1000 of the countach, and of those, almost 400 are the 25th edition). The prints aren't too accurate so I've made suble changes for accuracy thanks to those ref pics. Ahh, I'd like to see that LP400 when you get started on it.

@ nzjimmy2001 - Good luck making a game model! Glad my model could be of some help.

Spent several hours today trying to get the Countach into San andreas and have it work right. I'm just testing how I can get it into the game and set it up the way I want it. The first few shots are some the problems I had, which looked kinda funny. The weird white spots are from a lack of UV mapping. I tried slapping on a UVW map to the main body of the car, and that seemed to fix the problem (still have to do the other parts, though).

Thanks. Yep, it's still going to be in GTA

/Edit - Forgot to mention, that it isn't supposed to look nice yet. I was just trying to see how it could be brought into the game, so the car paint is pretty ugly and the textures aren't on it right now.

Looks good.

You will need a prim color, write [prim] behind your carcolor in the material editor and you will see paint on the car.

Hey, thanks. That fixed it. Now I'm just going to have to start mapping on my materials.

Modeled some more of the engine. The cables on the other side of the engine will be added later.

Great engine.

You can also have sec color on the car, name it [sec] insted of [prim].

Also you need to move the rear wheel dummy back a little.

Heh you making me wanna to go back to Sa converting again.

Nik.

hmm.. it looked good in render, but seems very narrow in GTA... Not sure whats up.. might be the way the game engine is doing it or maybe its too small?

I've noticed when I've exported my cars from Max to GTA they get narrower for some reason o.O In max everything looks fine but ingame looks weird many times.

Hope you don't mind if I ask what prints did you use? Where they accurate? Where they easy to work with, and if you can make some from your model cause I'm in need of good Countach and Diablo prints.
