Well I started working on it again the other day. Just working on texturing the interior right now.
I didn't have a working internet connection most of the time, so I haven't been on in a while. Plus I lost motivation for a while, so not much has been done.

I'm not using the Gfx hack yet (I had to uninstall the game, and I deleted the GFX file in the folder).

Ok, I added the hinges and textured a couple more parts. I've also worked on the handling and it's now where I want it, so I'm going to keep it like it is (I'll create a new video soon showing the handling).

Well, I'm definately going to finish this project.
It's sorta weird, though. I lost motiviation about this time last year. Maybe it's because of too many good games in a short amount of time :?

The gameplay video is now uploaded. It can be viewed on Youtube .
It's 4 minutes 51 seconds long and I'm just driving around in the game.

I don't like the rims that much either right now. It looks like I'm going to have to do some texturing to make them look right.

I'll just mention some things that will help getting a model from max to SA right here. That way maybe it will be usefull for someone else, as well.

First thing, go HERE and download those videos. I think you need to register there in order to get them, but they are well worth it IMO. He talks about how to make a model, rig it, export it, map it, set up the textures for the game, and get it into the game. Pretty much everything you need to know to get started. For specific problems, I tend to go to GTAForums.com for solutions. There is a lot of good info there.

As for creating a dff file, I use Kam's script. The site for that is here. It is a very handy script.

There is also a handy vehicle doc here. It shows a lot of things that will be helpful when bringing a car into San Andreas.
Lists of helpful tool, scripts, and programs: here
Handling file breakdown: here
Helpful program for editing the handling file*: here

*Note the CFG Studio 2 program makes it impossible for an easy uninstall of a car mod from the San Andreas Mod Installer (SAMI). It will have to be done manually.

Ok, worked on texturing the rims today and I think they look much better now. I think I will improve the tire textures next, and do some more texturing of the interior.

Yeah, they are looking hot. But you should make a custom shadow/col for your car.

Yeah, once I finish texturing, my plan was to work on a collision file, then a damage model after that.

Beautiful model. Maybe the rim texture could use even a bit more contrast?
