What I would like to know:do you have a widescreen monitor?
Like 16:9 or 16:10?Only for interest cause your Crown Vic looks too small in my game.
Its narrow and short.Nothing too bad but here are pics compared to my Caprice.
I just hope that this doesnt happen to the Avalanche

Maybe it feels too narrow because the Caprice is too wide? I know it`s a wide car but the side curves a bit wrong making the roof too wide, the bottom should curve in a bit more too.

one of them is definitely off from what it should be.

The caprice looks fine IMO, and the Crown Victoria had me looking at it for a while in puzzlement...

But then it occurred to me : was the crown victoria modeled using the actual dimensions from a website?

If so, did you remember to omit the mirrors from that dimension?

The Crown Vic looks tall enough for sure, but it appears to be too narrow.... which is why I think the mirrors were included in the width dimension, which leads to a squished vehicle.

I had this annoyance happen to me on several cars I built until I realized what I was doing wrong... It looked the worst on my '04 impreza... But yeah, I'd say the thing is just too narrow is all.

the caprice's front end may be a wee tad too wide, on second glance... In fact, these vehicles both have very strange shapes... lol

the caprice's doors bulge out more than the rest of the vehicle, the headlights are almost angled similar to that of the '05 dodge charger, the grille can be almost impossible for some people to interpret correctly due to the curvature at the front end, the brake lights wrap around and are funky to visualize correctly...

the crown victoria's brake lights and rear end can't even be interpreted correctly by 90% of those who make scale models of the car (I searched long and hard for one that was semi-accurate), plus the headlights and grille have the same issue the caprice's does for modelers...

Overall the tweaks are quite minimal for both vehicles

I agree with Multimediaman, could be both. the 98 Crown Vic was wider than the 97 and added 200 lbs to the weight of the car. the Caprice looks just a smidge wide. the mirrors could sure make a difference when it comes to correct dimensions.

As far as I see,its the cars height+width that makes it look off.
Just look at the licenseplate area compared to the pic.
If I am right informed the mesh isnt made by schaefft so it is the fault of the modeler who built it and put it up for free.

I think the disscussion ends here.
That means it doesnt matter any more.But thanks for pointing out some faults on my Caprice

That is true He did work to existing mesh. I have found some issues on other cars for other games in past when you put them side by side. I am happy to see them anyway when I look at his car by itself it is really close, without digging up specs for the car. the Crown Vic does have some height to it when I compare my Crown Vic to my Caprice 1:18th scale models. maybe I should shoot those and post here like the game shot for reference?
