Nice start. Any refpic to show ?
You need to straighten edges on your body. If you're going for a lowpoly model, use smoothing groups. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |

Here's what I was losely basing it off of. The front is different that the one on that car, mainly because the one I am doing is for a Dirt Track mod, and the noses are basically a piece of sheet metal bent around the front. I am still adding some detail, and rfactor doesn't really work with smoothing groups so have to detach stuff to another element for smoothing to work correctly.

It's pretty good news to read that you're going for a different front, because the car on these pics have a really weird nose.
About smoothing groups, I didn't mean to really use a feature called smoothing groups, but just make to sure to smooth faces subset by subset. As an example, the software I use, Blender, doesn't support true smoothing groups. So I do the way you're going for : different parts. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |

Could you show me what needs smoothing? Or how to smooth a certain part?

Sorry I didn't see earlier your question. For smoothing groups, I don't think you need more explanation than "split the body in different objects, according to the smoothed surfaces", i.e. one object per surface, not one object per part.
Are you done with the Camaro ? It's maybe a bit soon to stop it, as you didn't go that far with it, so you maybe didn't learn as much as you can. Starting another model right now will lead you to reproduce same errors. You may consider trying to improve the Camaro first before moving to another car. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |
