This is why I keep asking myself - Why would anyone care for modeling highpoly ??
Render is wonderful and lighting & colors are peaceful. It needs a bit more contrast though. Great work on composition! Good luck on further progress, we all look forward to more updates! And yes, You have to change wheels definitely! |

It saves you a constraint, the poly budget.PS : Niray, welcome in your new role ! Thanks for the effort and the time you give to SMC. ![]() ![]() Currently project : Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Roadster Previous : Marcos 1800 GT (60's winner), Ariel Atom II (LightIsRight winner), SuperSeven (WZA #4) See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net |

You're right, that's the reason why I've made only high poly modeling so far

multimediaman: I basically render a 1920x1080 resolution and the anti-aliasing issues are gone. also the edges are starting to become more visible. haven't texture the entire car yet, eg: body paint is just a shader, I only textured the lights for now.
I followed this tutorial for the bodylines. Nissan Nismo GT-R R34 - Game Artist Forums niray, tom, nublet: IMO, high poly and low poly are fun in different ways and for some, high poly modeling is a lot easier than low poly. For me, low poly is easier because my computer can't handle a lot of polies on the screen and if you are modeling high poly, you should model the fine details (modeling the air vents for the interior etc) otherwise it kinda defeats the purpose of modeling a high poly model! High poly modeling really tests someone's patience IMHO. I could model a high poly car body just fine but to actually finish an entire car is another question. ![]() |

There are number of methods in highpoly for which it's much more suitable for modeling, but the same thing is with lowpoly. You shouldn't compare these two so easily because you do know how hell modeling can be highpoly and I know you all can confirm this ![]() Again, it's about taste, so it doesn't matter in which way you model. Sorry for offtopic and I hope you will mind this post. =) P.S. Thanks Tom! - ML: Hey, where are updates?! ![]() |
