Cool 1970 Chevelle SS454

I built this for GTA San Andreas recently. I was urged to post it(Among other cars of mine) here. Last time I posted here I wasn't so well recieved, since this can't compare to those cars that look like photos, so we'll see how this goes. Heh.

1970 Chevelle SS454 LS6.

This is what real men drove in 1970. This model is made from another Chevelle I made in 2003. I opened up the panels and added everything nessacary for GTA. It borrows some parts from my 71 Impala, since they were either the same or close to the same. Polycount is 25,484 for the model, and 1675 per wheel.

This is the fourth time I have done a 1970 Chevelle(not counting customs made from these models). First from left was made in 2002, next - 2003, next - much later in 2003, and now - 2008.

And now that this car is done, I can use it with my SuperSport concept

Some really nice work there on a great muscle car. My only gripe is with your SS concept version you made. When ever anyone does a concept car I like to look at it as if it was real. And looking at what the manufactuers are doing right now I cant see them doing headlights like yours. too pointy and not enough substance. So ID rethink that area. Maybe even try and make them actually headlights like the old kind but in a new twist. Up to you , but thats my 10 cents

nice work...and what about that 71 Impala? hmmmm ? will like to see that too. -reference below where multimediaman asks about the window crank for back window inside, yes they had a manual window crank on that car from 68 to 72.my favorite Chevelle is the 69'

This looks quite nice. There's only a couple things I can find on the car, the first is some texture stretching or blurriness on the side, right at the front end, the bodyline that comes down around the headlight area looks like half of it tapers out larger towards the bottom.

There's also the interior carpet that's stretched in some areas, and much lower res than the other details.

There's a window lever in the back seat? I'm not familiar with the car enough to know if that's right or not

And I'm looking forward to seeing some pics of your mercury tracer

Hey, thanks for that. First time in a while I've gotten some good constructive critism.

I know the model has a few bad areas on the model and textures. The model is actually fairly old, from around 2003, and I just overhauled it with new interior/engine and many other new details.

The carpet looks low res in the pics, but isn't that bad in the modeler. I don't know why, similar carpet for my other cars doesn't appear that way in the pics.

And yes, the lever is correct. I wouldn't have added it otherwise Older two door cars, you could actually roll dow that back window. Old cars rule. Manufacturers today can't do this do to federal side impact regulations forcing all two door cars to have a B pillar.

I got Chevelle ingame, few issues to solve. Windows are too transparent and scratches make frontbumper transparent. I'm sure there are others too just gotta find them first hehe Anyways here's some screenies
