Cool 1960 Chevrolet Biscayne

Hey Forum!

I fell in love with that car since PALAT modeled it.
He made some nice prints of it so its easy to model that dinosaur. Thanks for that.

I was curious if I can model that complex windshield.Thats how it started. After I had the windshield,I said to myself:why not do the whole car?
So,here it is.The body is almost done.Just needs some small things like emblems and stuff.
Me is also workin on a 1959 Chevy but that will need more time.
The 60 is a little practice cause I am a little rusted.Long time no real project.

So here it is.
Will be for GTA SA and maybe for Mafia too. We'll see what else is possible.
Its pretty lowpoly.
17979 faces.

Thanks for watching!

Thanks guys!

Next I will start the inside of it.Not too fancy since its a low price Biscayne.
Goal is to keep it under 25000 faces when finished.

Most of my time I work for my money and do not have much time or drive to model every free minute,
so this could take a few weeks till its completly done and converted.

Small update...

Redid the taillights.More polys now.Added a trunklock.
Hoodlettering and some textures are added, also a sidemirror and doorlock.
Not much but needed to complete the stock look I want for that thing.

Note:
The canadian licenseplates are on it to show my sympathy for CANADA!...EEH!!

Heyho!
Thanks schaefft!

@Johnas:Yes,it will be perfect as a 2 door that is planned also of course.Maybe I do Impalas, too, but don't know jet...

Been busy makin the interior not lookin too crappy...
After that I found out that the perspective in ZModeler can be changed to a ridiculous level.
Just by holding shift and RMB the hole thing becoms a game by moving the mouse...hard to resist.

Hope you like it.
If so (or not) write a comment so I don't have to doublepost

Thanks for watchin'

Indeed, Im sure the interior will look much better with some nice textures! What I wanted to ask you, is this chrome a texture which is mapped at every piece or just there because of the render?

Textures and stuff for the interior will follow.

The chrome is just a simple reflection map on high blending with specular very high and a black material.Thats the whole trick to make it look like chrome even in ZModeler 1.
The RefMap should not contain too much color. It should be almost monochrome.
I bet Burner did it the same way on his 59 Cadillac
Here's a pic!

Thanks for the comments and critics so far.

Small update on the interior and pics how the difference between white and blackwall tires is.
I will go with the blacks because it looks so super cheap and stock.

Not a real update but just showing how a new texture for the carpet improves the whole thing.
I made a new carpet texture with shadows in photoshop.
I knew that something was wrong and found out that these shadows were missing.
Small change, big effect...if you ask me.

And just because I am bored,I post some pics of projects that are on my HD.

The 59 Chevy will be done after the 60 I hope.Maybe I redo some serious stuff on it.
The 62 Chevy, well I dont know if it will see light one day.Maybe a complete overhaul on it,too.
And that other fragment is a Opel Astra Coupe.I drive one so I thought, good conditions to model it.Started March 08,finished...who knows when

the last pic is the 60 Chevy btw

Have fun with that crap
