@NE: well my wires on this car are horrible, maybe cause i was away from modeling for a while.. so just a warning

@FlashG: i think i may have sent the car to someone to put into SA but they're busy atm.. i think (i've lost track)
update: the normals on this update were also extremely difficult!
i'm getting really annoyed..

Good gracious!!! 8o
That's a whoooole lot o' pollies you have there

But, as always, you keep things nice and smooth with this many polies, so I don't think it should be a major problem. The only thing which caught my eye, considering polycount.. The wheelarch is pretty jagged at the top

Very smooth model, great!

haha yes a lot of polies, and as i said it's not the best layout either
true about the wheel arch, i have a habit of using a lot of polies in the unnecessary areas and too few in the curvy places.. but it's hard to fix, just cause of normals which are still really annoying

i know it's not much of an update, but i spent a while figuring out the curve of the bottom of the car, for it doesn't show up in the prints (also it might not be the same all the way across the body, but i can't seem to figure out what exactly it should look like -if anything different from what i have)

It's pretty close, but I think that line should be a bit more bulgy. Can't really tell from this pic though, but it's just what it looks like

funny, that wasn't the "curve" i was talking about (i meant the big body curve on the side of the body) but i'm glad this mistake brought in a valid crit that might have otherwise been neglected

this better?

PS is there something wrong with the attachments? because when i go to post, the "Attach Files" section doesn't have a button to click to manage attachments...

Oh you meant the curve underneath the door? How much the sideskirt is curved inwards? Looks about right to me
Yeah, that curve looks better too now

As for attachments.. It only shows up after pressing "Post Reply", it doesn't show up when you press "Go Advanced".. stupid bug
Although most bugs have already been fixed somehow!

yeah i plan to make the alpina version after the z8 is done

ok i'm very very sick of this car. there are too many normals issues with each update, especially this one.. although it may not look like it, i've spent hours trying to make just this rear fender come out right... i must have deleted and restarted it up to three times and i rebuilt/restructured the polies countless times...the trailing indent that ends in the fender was finally detached because i absolutely could not solve the normals problems it created...
in short, i'm not spending any more time on this section, even if there are problems
i know it's not a good attitude but i can't fix it
and i know it's a lot of complaining i've done, but i'm reeeally frustrated

here it is..
