@clix: i'll post some next update, but it is a very dense poly-mesh, just warning you
@Silent: it's not yet welded at the apex - i will weld when it comes time to texture, so that i may mirror each half
--sharp eye, by the way

==edit==
lemme just post the wires now
haha the worst thing you could do to me now is to tell me i need to fix my wires, because it would require so much effort

==edit==
wow i just took a look at the poly-count... >23k already..

the wires show how much effort has been put into this car, they are outstanding

thanks clix
mpfive - just as clix suggested, lotsss of effort

there are some places (for example, in front of the front fender) where the poly-lines look wavy. The result as far as normals is fine, but i have tried to alter the lines to get them straight, but i cannot do this without screwing up normals. in other words, i feel like everything is as good as it can get for my level of expertise, and i shouldn't adjust anything that's not necessary

i really wanted to be able to motivate myself to do more of this car before posting again, but i just can't... i end up staring at the car and rotating it around instead of making stuff..
it's prolly just cause it's the interior (which i hate modeling) and i have few reference pictures for the area behind the seats.. :roll:
now, i realize this area is not seen much.. at all, so i guess i can do a little fudging

haha glad to see i'm not alone

ok i made a little shadow, sculpted a little bit more of the interior, and began the seat (for the seat, i still need to do the base and the rear frame - i'm debating whether or not to do the guide poles for the adjustable headrest, which you can't see when the headrests are in their lowest position)

thanks clix101
i finally forced myself to begin this dreaded interior, and here are the results after (many, believe it or not) hours of work
i guess i hate interiors because it's so much up to me to use ref pics to get the proportions/curves correct, especially in this particular interior. the prints don't include the interior so it's really hard
but ok here are the pictures so far (i don't know what i'm gonna do about all this bunched up leather for the gear lever/hand brake, which there's no way i can model myself)

and i know everyone's been wondering what the car looked like in full black attire, so here you go :roll:
