29 Chevy Pickup (Custom Street Rod)

First of all I would like to thank Zachary for his "unfinished project" base body as shown in the lower right corner.

I was planning a similar project and this gave me a great starting point. Downloaded the model that Zachary had started and am working modiification and working on adding remaining body and goodies to create a completed project. All work here is mine with exception of the starting body model. Adding the fenders and running boards, nose, interior, chassis, etc.

Comments and feedback are greatly appreciated.

Looks good!
What car do you use as reference. Don't know the car so I can't crit how accurate the model is. Any shade/wire renders?
Planing to export the car to a game? It looks like low poly.
Keep up the good work!

Re: 29 Chevy Pickup (Custom Street Rod)

Thank you. Rear Tires are large because that's the way I wanted them. They were originally designed for a Trans-Am Series Race Car.

The nose, fenders, and running boards are a custom design, not based on any "real" truck.

Reviving an old project....

I know this is an old topic, but it's "my" topic, and I am reviving this project. So rather than starting a new thread, I'll re-use this one.

I have started completely over from scratch. All body components are modeled by my, using Zachary's "unfinished project" cab as a reference guide only. However, he still deserves some credit for providing me with an excellent guide to model against.

C&C are welcome as this project progresses. Suspension parts & engine are currently borrowed from others.

here's the unsmoothed wires... (wires are built by me, using zachary's original tri's as reference on the cab)

ur body is floating on top of the rails

you just need to cut off small part from rear of body. and drop the body on rails

here are tonight's updates.... adding hood and blocking in the general shape for the front fenders. Curvature of the front and back fenders will both be tweaked when the fronts are completley blocked in. Remember this is a "Custom" not a standard recreation.
