Crazy 989's GT cars

hey alright, yeah I know what you're thinking this is like The IC's thread, well yeah, but I'm going to make cars from the FIA GT, and maybe make some livery's or cars from LeMans...

First we have the Aston Martin DBR9, (planning on the 08 Gulf Oil LeMans livery on this, and maybe some others), wheels are done, spoiler is done, although need the supports for it, and started on the side.

Nice to see yet another DBR9,after the project from TheGoog. Maybe it's the very beginning of a new trend

Not so much to critic on the car so far, but the area you start from is original. The rim looks good. So you just have to keep it up that way.

The actual FIA-GT championship is really a good idea to fully model, because there is plenty of nice cars from glorious brands. It would be nice to get the full grid. Do you plan to do it by yourself ? If not, maybe think of a call for volunteers for a group project.

See my work and my tutorials on www.thomasbaron.net

Current WIPs : Marcos 1800 GT, Renault Sport Spider, Aston Martin DB9, Limo concept.
Some previous projects : Ariel Atom II, SuperSeven against zombies

thanks guys, I made the DBR9 first since it is arguably the more complex of GTcars to make, but to say that I didn't have any motivation for modelling it from TheGoog's one would be a lie.. :D. I am planning on making a grid, maybe 8 cars, if I get that far we shall see for any more, I might make it a group project, but that will be decided after this DBR9 (gives me time to think) . The crazy amount of polies would be stored in them wheels, 92k each..., I will try and reduce it but its quite hard to do so ,

---------------------

anyways didnt have much time today, went to watch that National Treasure, Book of Secrets today, pretty good film. However I managed to get the hood done - some parts need to be fixed on that and it also seems AM took out some vents- also made the little side exhaust part. And here is the link to the 2008 version - I presume the body shape is the same for all,

update. Car should be done by the end of the week hopefully (only going to make low poly interiors). Then, maybe Corvette C6, or a Ferrari perhaps

EDIT - younglion you beat me to the post , erm right now my goal is 8 cars, if I get that far without losing my motivation, I might go for a 16 car grid :D
