pedro.malheiro - Thanks! I hope that shortly I will try to make a good lookin' studio.

spitty3d - Thanks!

feral1 - Thanks!

younglion - Thanks for pointing this out (again) I just forgot to fix it before.

I am starting detailing side. I made door seams, chrome trim around side windows and side windows. Now I'll make a front one and after modelling wipers I'll make B-pillars and side mirrors.

This time I am not rendering this with materials, cos' I don't have so much time right now.

spitty3d - Thanks! I don't think that 10 minutes clay render is so quick. I'll try to make a new studio so render times might lower a little bit.

I made some side pillars and front window.

I'm just wondering what might be causing those strange shadows on the top of side windows on the render?

i find 10 minutes rather long for the quality you get. My clay setup is the next:

vray default lights off; gi off; noise treshold 0,002; override max skylight + reflections on, skylight 0,0 reflection 1,0

i make a car with plane underneath it that covers all the area, all grey mat.

1 vraydome about 4 carlenghts above the car with a multieplier of 1,2, subdivisions set to 100.

I get good quality clay renders in 7/8 minutes without artifacts or strange shadows. resolution was 1200 x 900.

You should give it a try really simple but effective setup. Hope it helps for you!

I've tried Erik_S's method but I cound't turn off GI, cos' when I did that whole render was black. So I turned it back on but with selected values and dome light it showed that it is goin' to render for an hour!

So I came back to the old studio and try to experiment with render settings a little bit but those shadows are still there.

I am attaching picture with my GI settings so maybe somebody will help me with fixing this problem.
