1958 Borgward Isabella Kombi

Hi all

I have recently been e-mailed by a guy who is restoring this car. The pictures were so interesting (a lot of them, real frame-off job) that i decided to have a go at it, using the 1959 Isabella sedan as a basis. He is repainting the car in Fischsilbergrau Metallic, the original color.

Modeling was not difficult, just redo/tweak the rear and glasshouse/roof. The taillights were a bit tricky, i had to create it as a separate object then cut a hole in the body then attach and weld it. Then i selected the edgeloop that borders the tailight where it meets the body and created a shape. This shape was assigned a rendering attribute and attached to the body. Presto! A rubber gasket, simple and perfect fit.

Tried a hdri map and lighting for a change... Thanks for watching!
